Letter to Democrats

Thank you for taking the time to read this.

If Republicans ignore working-class issues, Democrats are often worse because they campaign on those issues and then sell us out anyway.

Democrats talk nonstop about wages, healthcare, unions, housing, and corporate abuse. Then they govern like paid consultants protecting the same donor class they pretend to fight.

How was George W. Bush the last president to sign a federal minimum wage increase? That law was signed on May 25, 2007. Democrats have had majorities since then and still left workers stuck.

In Milwaukee, Gwen Moore takes a ludicrous amount of corporate money while pretending to be a champion for regular people. You can look up her donor profile yourself on OpenSecrets: Gwen Moore on OpenSecrets.

The working class does not need another speech about justice from politicians funded by the same insurance, pharma, finance, and tech money machine that keeps us trapped.

We need replacements, not rebrands. If you are sick of corporate Democrats using progressive language to protect a corrupt status quo, help me build something better.

Thanks,
Asher
